Have you ever seen the movie The Count of Monte Crisco? They pledge their love to each other and because they are poor they seal it with a piece of string tied around the ring finger. I have always loved the simplicity of that vow. Rings don't hold our hearts together, so it matters little what they are made of or how costly they may be. Rather a cord of three strands is not easily broken, and therein lies the value of love and commitment for one another. Just as every set of rings is unique and unlike any other, so are the wearers. However, one thing stays true through every relationship; God Himself is love, and when we keep Him as the third strand love will never fail.
